Well everyone, this is going to be my last post. It was nice educating anyone who wanted to hear about hookah/shisha. It probably is a good thing that I am going to stop writing now because I have pretty much ran out of things to say. lol. I hope that from my blogs everyone learned the history of hookah and what it is, what kind of shisha are out there, what kind of lounges are out there, how to throw your own hookah party, how to buy your own for at home, and non tobacco shisha options. Well, I had fun trying this blog thing out and I hope you all had fun reading it! Later!

My next post is talking about a recent discovery of mine...tobacco free shisha! I did not know that such a thing existed. Supposedly tobacco free shisha is a herbal and all natural shisha with molasses flavoring but free of tar and nicotine which is found in regular shisha although not much of it is in regular shisha. The main distributor of tobacco free is a company called SOEX Hookah and can be found on the internet. I think that for those people who may be wary of trying hookah, this is a great idea. Now there is a way for nonsmokers to enjoy the soothing and tasty experience of a hookah without the little bit of effects that regular shisha has.

For my next blog, I would like to talk about how to do tricks with the smoke. Because the smoke is thicker than regular cigarettes, it is possible to do more things with it. For example, it is easier to make smoke rings. If you do not know how to do it already, it is really easy to practice and learn how to do it with hookah smoke. All you need to do is take in the smoke and shape your mouth into an "o" shape and make forceful quick puffs outward. Some people find it easier to tilt your head back and puff out and some people find it easier to sit upright and puff out for distance. The choice is really dependent on the individual.

Hey guys. I was thinking about how much fun it would be to own a hookah and shisha lounge/cafe. I would have fun watching other people have so much fun. In my lounge, there would be great music, fun and relaxing furniture, great food, and affordable prices. I can not stand it when hookah places overprice. I also can not stand it when hookah places try to jip people who they think may not know much about hookah. For example, a couple of months ago, me and my boyfriend went to a hookah place and for eight dollars he gave us a hookah with no wholes in the foil where the shisha is, a quarter piece of a coal when there should be a whole, and it was all overpriced. I just know that if I were to ever own a hookah lounge that it would be the best in town!

Hey guys. Now it is time to share some of my experiences on hookah lounges in the area. My first ever hookah lounge that I went to was The Prince Cafe in Georgetown. I went during the summer last year, I went to this lounge and there was an outside deck set up with tables and umbrellas. It was a beautiful setting and a beautiful atmosphere. The food was delicious as well. The type of food was Persian and Arabian. The food prices were reasonable. Me and my friends decided to get two different hookahs with two different flavors. We tried the sour apple and the strawberry. This was my first time ever trying hookah and it was a very different experience for me. The smoke was very harsh and I could not inhale much of it, but I later find out that it was because of the brand of tobacco that they used. It was a very fun and new experience for me and it sparked my new found love for hookah.

Now that I have shared all that I know about hookah and shisha, I think that I can now just blog down my thoughts about the subject. From now on, it is going to be just about what I am thinking and what I think about hookah and shisha. So without further ado, this blog is going to be about hookah parties.
I have been thinking about throwing a hookah party for a while now. The only problem is that I only have one hookah. In order to have multiple guest over for a hookah party you will either need to have a quad hosed hookah or multiple hookahs. I think it would be a nice party to have fun music, snacks, and different flavors of shishah for your guests to choose from. It will also be a good environment for your friends who may have not tried hookah before to try it for the first time because they will not have to pay for the experience in case they may not like it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please let me know. I'd love to hear it!

Now that you understand what the hookah and shisha is, it is now time to educate those of you who would like to purchase one for your own personal use. Prices of hookahs can range from 39.99 - 499.99 dollars. There are a large variety to choose from : color, size, and shape. One of the most popular type is the Egyptian hookah (shown above). Other popular styles include: Syrian, Bohemian, & Iranian hookahs. After you have purchased a hookah, it is now time to decide what kind of flavor tobacco you would like to buy. Prices of tobacco depend on the brand and amount. Nakhla, Al Waha, Layalina, Al Fakher, and Al Amir, are some of the top selling brands of shisha on the market, and comes in packs of 50, 250, and 500 mg. Prices of shisha usually range from 1.99 - 19.99 dollars. Next, all you need to buy is the coal which is usually very inexpensive, and cleaning brushes for your hookah and you are on your way to a great hookah experience. It may take beginners a little experimentation to get the perfect hookah experience for them but once you get it, it is so much fun!

To enjoy the hookah experience, there are a few ways to do it. People either go to a hookah lounge or cafe or they buy their own and do it in their own homes or even have hookah parties(more on that in another post). People tend to enjoy going to hookah lounges with a large number or friends, although some enjoy the intimacy of a smaller group of two to three. There are a good number of hookah lounges in the Maryland/Virginia area. For example, there is Alf Laylah restaurant in Chantilly, Virginia, Lebnan Zaman restaurant in Vienna, Virginia, and Chi Cha Lounge in Washington D.C. Some of my personal favorites include, Prince Cafe, which has a couple of different locations, and Ice Hookah Lounge in Towson, Maryland. When looking for a hookah cafe there are no wrong or right ways to do it. Unless you check out the price before you go and find that it is too expensive, there really is not any other reason for you to not check a place out. Sometimes it is all about trial and error. Some people may like the atmosphere about a place and some may be more concerned about the live entertainment or food. Really, the decision is up to you. So happy hunting!

First, to enjoy the fun and great experiences to be had from hookah, I think that it is only right that a person knows what it is. Hookah is a vase shaped smoking unit that usually has water in the glass chamber connected to a water pipe that is connected to a another little clay bowl for the hot coal that has flavored tobacco inside. Hookah was discovered in Eurasia over 500 years ago. When smoking a hookah, the smoke is filtered through the water in the vase, eliminating most of the harmful side affects of tobacco. The shisha, (flavored tobacco), is a tenth to a third amount of tobacco and the rest is flavored molasses. Shisha can come in many flavors such as: apple, strawberry, cherry, apricot, banana split, honey, rose, margarita, and cola. Don't worry everyone, keep checking out my blog for more details posted frequently. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or comment on any of my blogs!

This blog is completely dedicated to all things Hookah! I hope that you enjoy it!
